Freckle Updates September 2019

Now that the school year is in full swing, Freckle has made some improvements to help you customize your students' experience and give them the perfect challenge. Here's what's new in your Freckle account from the month of September!

Assignable Depth of Knowledge Challenges

Our more rigorous math Depth of Knowledge (DOK) content is now assignable through the Targeted Practice assignments in the teacher dashboard. Teachers can assign DOK Challenge sets in each standard in the Geometry and Numbers Base Ten domains. Teachers can see student performance in the Activity Feed.

DOK Challenges give students the opportunity to demonstrate deeper understanding of a standard through these rigorous question sets rooted in real-world scenarios.

Student Math Levels Report

Teachers can now see both the starting level and the current level  for each student in the Student Math Levels Report (formerly the Pre-Test Report). This is a great way to check on where each student is practicing and see how much they have grown at a glance!

Student math levels by domain. View student growth by comparing starting levels to current levels across domains.

Math Domain Restriction

Teachers using Freckle Math Premium can now control which domains students will see in their student dashboards. This will help you keep your students focused on the content you're teaching in class. Freckle Premium teachers can update this for individual students or for the entire class at any time by editing a student in the Roster section of the teacher dashboard.

Student Dashboard Settings page. Show/hide adaptive math domains for this student.
