Here at Front Row, we strive to provide rigorous math practice for your students. That’s why we offer unique question types throughout our program. We now have a large bank of “multiple answer” and “bucket” questions, both of which are found on the SBAC and PARCC assessments: In “multiple answer” (or “select all that apply”) questions, students must determine which of the answer options match a given criteria. This allows students to demonstrate how well they understand the concepts they’re learning. In “bucket” (or “drag and drop”) questions, students determine the specific category to which each answer option belongs. Whether sorting numbers based on place value or linear equations based on the number of solutions, “drag and drop” questions require students to develop a deeper understanding of the concept. Try these questions out with your students today! Students can practice by logging into their student accounts at https://student.frontrowed.com. |

Announcing multiple class rosters!
We’re excited to announce that all teachers can now create multiple rosters! In the past, only teachers with paid School Edition were able to create more than one roster. Now, every teacher on Front Row can create at least 3. Here’s how it works: Click on “Manage Rosters” at the top left corner of your Teacher Dashboard page. Scroll to the bottom of your existing rosters and type in the name of your new class roster. Then click the “Create Class” button Your new roster shows up at the bottom of the page. Click the blue “+Add” button to add students to this new roster. Alternatively, you can upload your entire class roster from Excel; click here for more info on how to do that. As you start the new school year, consider upgrading to Front Row School Edition. With School Edition, you’re armed with advanced Front Row features, including unlimited benchmark assessments and class rosters, and aggregated school-wide data for your principals/administrators. You’ll also have full access to all of our Inquiry Based Lessons. Click here to request a School Edition quote for your school! |

Now you can upload your class roster with Excel!
Good afternoon teachers! Exciting news—now there’s an easy way for you to upload your new students into your Front Row class roster. You can paste your class list directly from Excel. Here’s how it works: Create a list of your students in Excel with these 3 columns: Log in to your Front Row dashboard and click on the green “Manage Rosters” button in the top left corner. After you’ve transferred your students from last year to their new teachers (see how to do that here), add your new students by scrolling to the bottom of the roster list and clicking the blue “+Paste from Excel” button. Paste your class list from Excel into the blank box. Ta-da! Your students are now in your new class roster. Click “Save” if the student information is correct. If you need to modify a student’s information, just click on that student’s name to edit. |
