Feature Friday: Accessing Our Inquiry-Based Lessons (IBLs)

Posted by Michael Pi on April 8, 2016 at 10:31 AM

If you logged into Front Row this week, you may have had a temporary freak out, asking yourself: "where did the Inquiry Based Lessons go??" Have no fear, they're not gone! We're just reorganizing.

Now, to access any type of math assignment -- adaptive practice, fact practice, benchmark assessments or Inquiry Based Lessons (IBLs) -- you need to go to the 'Assignments' tab under math.

From there, click 'Add An Assignment' and choose Inquiry-Based Lessons at the bottom.

To see the whole Inquiry-Based Lesson (IBL), click 'Assign'. You will be allowed to preview the whole lesson -- the video + discussion questions -- before sending out to your students.

Does anything change on the student side?

Because Inquiry-Based Lessons (IBLs) are now assignable, students will have access to the videos for the IBL when they log in. This is helpful because students will be able to go back and refer to the IBL videos from their computers, without requiring their teacher to go back and show them the video.
